Cbank: Russians become more frequent buyers of foreign goods
MOSCOW, Apr 6 (PRIME) -- Russians have started buying goods in foreign online stores and directly abroad more frequently, the central bank said on Friday in an analytical comment.
“It is proved by the fact that in the first quarter of 2018, an annual rate of an increase in expenses on final consumption of households, 3.5–4%, exceeded the rate of an increase in the retail turnover,” the regulator said.
The trend is also confirmed by a huge rise in imports of goods and services in January–February. In the baseline forecast, the central bank estimated an annual rate of growth of a physical volume of imports of goods and services at 10–12% in January–March.
